John Alasdair Macdonald is an amateur photographer living in West Cork, Ireland

He has been taking photographs inconsistently since the age of nine, when he was given a Kodak Brownie box camera.

Many of the photos were taken in West Cork, but others were taken elsewhere, at various times in John’s life and with a variety of cameras.

John created this website so his photos wouldn’t just be sitting unseen on a hard drive, or lost in the scrolling labyrinth of social media.
